Expert Witness and Testimony before Regulatory Bodies

Integrated Resource Planning - State of Arizona

Our Global Team was retained by the Staff of the Arizona Corporation Commission to review and test the Integrated Resource Plans of the four (4) load carrying entities within the State of Arizona. Each load carrying entity, defined as a utiltiy with more than 50 MW of owned generation, is required on a 2-year cycle to prepare and submit an IRP to the Commission for "acknowledgement." The Utility's IRP must be developed in an open and public process allowing the general public, industries, commerical and retail custoemrs to participate along with NGO's and other intersted parties. Global's task was to assist Staff with the review of the IRP's, hold public meetings to present the IRPS's and to "test" the IRP's for validity. Along with our strategic partner, George Evans of Evans Power Consulting, Global provide expert reveiw, analsyis and testing of the IRP's, including evaluation of supply-side resources, demand-side tools and application, transmission and environmental attributes.
